Pei Xiaofei, spokesman for the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, recently introduced that the current and future period of efforts will be made from five aspects to speed up the establishment of a modern ecological environment monitoring system.
He said that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China has built the world's largest, complete elements, scientific and reasonable layout of the monitoring network system, the current national direct monitoring site reached 33,000, monitoring quality and efficiency effectively improved, technical capabilities continue to enhance, supervision continues to increase, providing important support for ecological environmental protection work.
According to reports, to speed up the establishment of a modern ecological environment monitoring system, the Ministry of Ecological Environment will do the following five key aspects of work:
First, accelerate the establishment of a monitoring system that is compatible with the building of a beautiful China. Standard the requirements for the evaluation and assessment of the construction of Beautiful China, speed up the shortcomings in the monitoring field, formulate corresponding monitoring standards, and objectively reflect the effectiveness of the construction of Beautiful China.
Second, we will improve our ability to make accurate analysis and prediction. Do a good job of correlation analysis and traceability analysis of monitoring data, constantly improve the working mechanism of air quality forecasting, be a "magic weapon" for accurate, scientific and legal pollution control, and guide pollution control to the focus and the right medicine.
Third, improve integrated monitoring capabilities from mountaintop to ocean. We will take into account the ecological and environmental factors on mountains and mountains, on the ground and under the ground, in the water on the shore, in urban and rural areas, on land and in the sea, and in the upstream and downstream river basins, and promote integrated monitoring capacity building in all areas.
Fourth, improve the monitoring technology support capacity. To meet the needs of major business monitoring such as carbon reduction, pollution reduction, and green expansion, research and development projects of key monitoring technologies are proposed, technical research is carried out, and the level of monitoring technology is systematically improved.
Fifth, we will enhance our capacity for monitoring and oversight. Take multiple measures and take a multi-pronged approach to curb the problem of environmental monitoring data fraud, and promote the formation of an atmosphere of "dare not fake, can not fake, and do not want to fake".
